Tower Theatre Foundation receives $4,000 grant

The Tower Theatre Foundation said Monday it received a $4,000 grant from the US Bank Foundation for general operating support.

This contribution helps provide access to arts and culture. It reinvests in those core values of civic mindedness, cultural relevance, education enhancement, and sustainable economic vitality through a leading performing arts nonprofit.

At this time, the highest and best use for these funds is to assist with the preservation of the building that opens its doors to over 55,000 patrons per year of all ages and incomes.

Reaching diverse audiences and bringing in enriching performing arts strengthens community. This grant will allow the Tower Theatre Foundation to continue providing quality programming in its historic venue for visitors and residents.

The US Bank Foundation grant will be added to a $5,000 donation from Brooks Resources to earn a $22,500 matching grant from the Bend Foundation for restorative painting of the iconic Tower Theatre in downtown Bend.

The nonprofit Tower Theatre Foundation owns and operates the historic stage in downtown Bend. The Foundation’s mission is to be the leading performing arts organization, providing cultural and education programs that make an essential contribution to Central Oregon’s lifestyle and strengthen the community.
