Welcome to the new and improved KTVZ.COM!

The first total makeover of our Website in several years is designed to be cleaner and fresher, with plenty more easy-to-access video and larger images to enjoy.- lots of slideshows and more fun features to come.

It’s also a “responsive” site — meaning no more separate, scaled-down mobile (“m-dot”) site. The content instead should adjust to whatever size you’re viewing us on, from smartphone to tablet to regular PC. We are launching a new app as well – watch for the update in your iTunes or Google Play Store in coming days.

We have been working on this project for several months, and we know all too well that it’s not quite done yet – there are a LOT of moving parts to Websites these days — so you will likely find some rough edges remain to be smoothed out and holes to be filled in over the next several hours, days and weeks. We appreciate your patience as we keep working at it.

In the meantime, please do let us know what you like — and, of course, what you don’t, or would like to see. Our lively Disqus article comment crowd no doubt will weigh in — when don’t they? But alas, the change to new Web addresses for stories means the “old” debates are gone — a clean slate, ready for the rest of the fall campaign and everything beyond!

We have more big changes happening in the newsroom – new tools and technology that will allow us to bring you more news and early video from news scenes faster, especially online. We now have a new, modern platform to show it all off, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! (And tired — yes, that too;-)

We sincerely want to thank you for your kind support of our broadcast and digital over the years. We’ll keep striving to live up to our goal, day in and day out, of being Central Oregon’s News Leader – on the air and online!
