Portland robbery suspect fires on officers during chase
LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. (AP) — Portland police say a robbery suspect fired at officers while leading them on a chase down Interstate 5 and into Tigard and Tualatin.
The suspect eventually stopped in Lake Oswego, where he was shot and wounded by police. No officers were injured.
A woman and several children were inside the suspect’s vehicle. Tigard police spokesman Jim Wolf said he doesn’t yet know their connection to the suspect.
The robbery happened Tuesday morning at a southwest Portland motel.
