Bend pizza spot raising funds for FAN

KTVZ

MOD Pizza, known for its focus on making a positive impact in their communities, is teaming up with the Family Access Network to launch its annual Spreading MODness campaign in Bend.

The MOD Squad will be donating $1 to FAN for every “Mod” size pizza sold from November 22 through 27 at its location at Colorado Crossing, 110 NW Sisemore Suite #150, Bend.

The Family Access Network joins over 175 non-profits across the U.S. that will be the beneficiaries of Spreading MODness 2016 – a week at MOD which is focused on supporting at-risk youth and families across the U.S. and the United Kingdom.

“We are thrilled to be a part of Spreading MODness this year! The donation will be used to support our most vulnerable children within our local schools,” said Julie Lyche, Executive Director of the Family Access Network. “Winter is a hard time of the year for our local kiddos, and we are here to help keep the heat on and a roof over their heads during the holiday season. We love our local MOD Pizza and are so impressed with their community minded approach!”

Added Ally Svenson, co-founder of MOD Pizza, “Our birthday is always a special week – it is a time when we spotlight the idea that ‘simply doing the right thing’ – taking care of one another and our communities – can have a lasting impact. Moments of generosity and gratitude happen daily in our stores, and we want to pay that forward to our communities. We are proud to call these inspiring charities our partners and to help draw attention to the important work they do every day.”

This year celebrates the fourth year of Spreading MODness, and through its celebration of “Gratitude with Attitude”, each of MOD’s 182 stores will be supporting their local charity, with a goal to donate over $250,000 in 18 states and the UK.

The Family Access Network is committed to building a healthy community by alleviating the suffering of children in need. During the 2015-16 school year, FAN advocates improved the lives of nearly 9,000 children and their family members in our community.
