Deschutes Brewery raises $13,000 for OAS
On Tuesday at 10 a.m., Deschutes Brewery is donating a big check to Oregon Adaptive Sports (OAS). The check presentation to OAS will be formally presented at the Deschutes Brewery’s Tasting Room, 901 SW Simpson Ave, Bend . Deschutes Brewery staff and OAS community members will be joining in the celebration.
Deschutes partners with a local nonprofit and together, the two organizations work together on managing the incredibly fun annual Halloween Warehouse party. This year, OAS was a proud beneficiary and provided 65 volunteers to help manage the party. Hundreds of attendees from all around gathered to enjoy the party and proceeds went to OAS .
Exactly $13,000 was raised, the most raised to date for this specific event. The donation will provide for 40 Life Skills students from Central Oregon to ski/ride with OAS once a week. These students would not be able to participate without the ability to fund the program.

Oregon Adaptive Sports has been breaking barriers in Central Oregon since 1996, providing life-changing outdoor recreation experiences to individuals with disabilities. Participants gain confidence, build self-esteem and strive for independence leading to an enhanced quality of life. Bachelor ski resorts as well as summer programs such as golf, cycling and kayaking through throughout the great Bend area.
