Sisters woman traveling to D.C. for Trump inauguration

As the Obama family says goodbye to the White House, President-elect Donald Trump will be saying hello on Friday.

Trump will be inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States, and one Central Oregon supporter got a ticket to the historic inauguration.

Sisters resident Patti Adair campaigned for Trump seven days a week and covered 18 counties in Central and Eastern Oregon. She connected with people who supported the now-president-elect and dealt with vandals who targeted the Deschutes County Republican headquarters and Trump campaign signs.

Adair kept her faith in her candidate and pushed through toward election night.

“I heard from a lot of people that hadn’t voted in decades, and they were voting for the first time or their second time in their entire life,” Adair said Tuesday.

She said Trump’s actions before taking the oath show he’s interested in bringing jobs back to America, such as negotiations to get or keep jobs in the U.S.

Adair said she’s confident a Trump presidency will benefit all Americans, and is proud to see her hard work coming full circle as she sees her candidate take the oath of office.
