ODOT plans Sisters roundabout, other Hwy. 20 projects

Highway managers with the Oregon Department of Transportation and officials with the city of Sisters are inviting motorists and others to an informational open house next week to learn about upcoming highway construction projects on U.S. Highway 20 in the Sisters area.

The open house will be held on Wednesday , January 25th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the Lecture-Drama Room at Sisters High School, 1700 W. McKinney Butte Road.

ODOT personnel will provide exhibits about the planned roundabout at the intersection of US 20 and Barclay Drive. That roundabout construction is due to begin in February and the roundabout is expected to be open by Memorial Day.

Other upcoming projects include: US 20: OR 126 Jct. – Deschutes River Bridge (repaving and safety improvements, construction this year); US 20 @ Suttle Lake Drainage (repaving, construction this year); US 20: Jack Lake Rd. – Pine St. (repaving, construction 2018).

City of Sisters and ODOT staff will be available to answer questions about the projects.
