Changes coming to U.S. Bank Kids’ Mini-PPP

KTVZ

The U.S. Bank Kid’s Mini Pole Pedal Paddle, presented by Hasson Company Realtors and Bend Memorial Clinic, is excited to announce that the event will offer a new experience this year.

On Sunday, May 21 st , teams of six athletes K-5 th grade, will compete in an obstacle course challenge held in the Les Schwab Amphitheater in the Old Mill District.

All team members will begin their heat with a fun team challenge followed by a run to the obstacle course area. Just like in years’ past, there will be 6 teams competing in each heat. And for the first time ever, each team member will get to experience a new and improved obstacle course.

Hasson Company Realtors will be presenting each team with awards after each heat has been completed. As usual, food and fun booths will also be present at the event. We are also excited that all family members will have the opportunity to see their children compete, since the event takes place in one location.

The change from the original format is due to a protected riparian zone that has been established in the existing raft take-out area. After a thorough review of several rafting options, it was determined that there were no other efficient or safe options for the raft take-out.

The event is presented by U.S. Bank, Hasson Company Realtors and Bend Memorial Clinic, and is sponsored by Sylvan Learning Center, SHARC, Five Talent, Old Mill District, Les Schwab Amphitheater, Powder House and MBSEF.

The U.S. Bank Kid’s Mini PPP is a fundraiser for the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization that creates opportunities through competitive snow sports programs to support athletes in achieving their individual athletic, academic, and personal goals.

Online registration will open February 15 th . For more information, contact molly@mbsef.org or call 541-388-0002.
