KTVZ

Work begins soon on the next phase of the 27th Street sewer project on Bend’s Eastside, which will affect access to St. Charles Bend, and a public meeting is planned next Monday evening to discuss what’s coming up.

The city said Wednesday the public is invited to an open house meeting at St. Charles from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. next Monday to discuss important information about the 27 th Street project and its impact on Neff Road and Purcell Boulevard.

“This phase of the project is scheduled to begin in early February and will alter access to medical facilities, including the hospital’s emergency room,” the city said.

The “drop-in meeting” will be held in Conference Room a off the main entrance to the hospital at 2500 NE Neff Road.

Construction team representatives will describe the project, what can be expected during construction and how the corridor might be impacted, including detours and hours of construction.

The 27 th Street Sewer Line is part of the Southeast Interceptor, an infrastructure project which will help resolve sewer capacity issues.

Work on Neff Road is scheduled to begin in February, just west of the intersection of Neff Road and Medical Center Drive and will continue in an easterly direction.
