Tumalo art gallery to close its doors

KTVZ

A Tumalo art gallery announced Tuesday it is closing its doors after nearly six years in operation, and the rough winter is a prime culprit.

Here’s their announcement:

“It is with great sadness that the Circle of Friends Art Association announces the closing of our gallery located at 19889 8th Street in Bend (Tumalo). The Circle of Friends Gallery has been in operation for nearly six years and has been the home to over 100 local artists.

“The COFAA Gallery had recently changed to a non-profit art association. Unfortunately, the extreme weather conditions from this past winter have made it impossible for the organization to continue operating the COFAA Gallery.

“The Gallery has closed operations and any classes or events planned for the months of March and April 2017 have been cancelled. If you were enrolled in either classes offered in the gallery or the “Anything Spring” exhibition, you will be contacted regarding a full refund of your fees.

“On Friday-Sunday, March 24 – 26, the gallery will be holding a going out of business sale. Items for sale include: gallery fixtures, furniture, a kiln and kiln accessories as well as other items. Hours for the sale are: Friday and Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM and Sunday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

“Come early to shop!

“COFAA wishes to thank all the artists and patrons who have supported the gallery over the years.”
