Portland police arrest suspect in fatal stabbing

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Authorities have arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with the stabbing death of a Portland man Tuesday night.

Portland police said in a news release that the US Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force arrested Michael Shipley on two outstanding warrants and probable cause for murder in the death of Brian Bruns.

Homicide detectives booked him into Multnomah County Jail. He’ll be arraigned Friday.

Police say Bruns died at the scene of the incident on the 4400 block of Southeast 99th Avenue.
