Redmond schools plan free summer meals

Redmond School District has announced its free Summer Meals Program schedule for the summer of 2017. The program allows children who are 18 years of age and under to receive a nutritious breakfast and lunch at no charge. No registration is required to participate. The Redmond School District participates in the U.S. Department of Agriculture Summer Food Service Program to provide meals at the following seven locations in the community throughout the summer months:
Deschutes Public Library
827 SW Deschutes Ave.
Serving Lunch Only
Dates: June 21 – August 25 | M-F
Lunch Times: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Highland Baptist Church
3100 SW Highland Ave. in Redmond
Serving Lunch Only
Dates: June 26 – 30 | M-F
Lunch Times: 12:00 – 12:45 p.m.

M.A. Lynch Elementary School
1314 SW Kalama Ave.
Lunch Only
Dates: June 21 – August 25
Lunch Times: 11:30 a.m. – 11:50 p.m.

Redmond High School
675 SW Rimrock
Breakfast & Lunch Served
Dates: Aug. 7 – 18 | M-F
Lunch Times: 12:00 p.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Ridgeview High School
4555 SW Elkhorn
Breakfast & Lunch Served
Dates: Aug. 7 – Aug. 18 | M-F
Lunch Times: 12:00 p.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Sam Johnson Park
333 Southwest 15th Street
Serving Lunch Only
Dates: June 21 – Aug. 25 | M-F Lunch
Times: 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Redmond Early Learning Center
2105 SW Antler
Breakfast & Lunch Served
Dates: June 21 – August 25 | M-F
Lunch Times: 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The district’s bicycle mobile food cart will make regular stops along the route below beginning at 11:00 a.m. from July 5 to August 25 .

Meal service will not be offered on July 3 , 4 (in observance of Independence Day) and Aug. 21.
