Crooked River Roundup Rodeo raises over $10,000 to CAN Cancer

KTVZ

At last month’s Crooked River Roundup Rodeo, proceeds from ticket sales, rodeo fans and community support helped raise over $10,000 for CAN Cancer.

They will present CAN Cancer with a check at the Horse Races on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Crook County Fairgrounds. Doors open at 6 p.m., races begin at 7 p.m.

CAN Cancer, Community Assistance for Neighbors with Cancer, helps local families manage non-medical expenses, including fuel, travel, and food costs while receiving cancer treatment. 100% of the money stays local and 100% of funds raised goes to the patients.

“The community support has been tremendous and this donation is going to help a lot of families in need,” said Steve Holliday, the owner of Prineville Disposal.

The group of Central Oregon garbage haulers includes Prineville Disposal,, Bend Garbage & Recycling, Cascade Disposal, High Country Disposal, Madras Sanitary Service, and Wilderness Garbage.
