Two dead, four injured in Portland crash

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police say two people have died and four others suffered life-threatening injuries in a multiple vehicle crash in Portland.

Portland police say officers responded to a report of a crash involving multiple vehicles at Northeast 15th Avenue and Northeast Lombard Street at 8:46 p.m. Monday.

Police say officers and medical personnel arrived and found two people dead and four people with serious life-threatening injuries.

Portland Fire and Rescue said on Twitter that several patients were trapped in vehicles.

Police say the four injured people were taken to area hospitals.

Fire and Rescue officials say crews were searching for any other victims.

The roads in that location were expected to be closed until at least midnight for a crash investigation.

No further information was immediately released.
