Trump nominates Williams to remain Oregon’s U.S. attorney
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – President Trump has nominated Billy Williams to continue serving as U.S. attorney for the District of Oregon.
Williams has been on the job since 2015, during the Obama administration. He initially served on an acting basis following the resignation of Amanda Marshall.
Trump fired dozens of Obama-era United States attorneys after taking office. Williams said Friday he’s honored by the nomination and – if confirmed – looks forward to serving.
