Prineville-area woman accused of stabbing boyfriend 7 times

A Prineville-area woman was arraigned Tuesday on a domestic assault charge, accused of stabbing her boyfriend seven times during a dispute also involving their roommate.

Crook County sheriff’s deputies and Prineville police responded Monday to a home in the area of Northeast Barns Road, about a half-mile east of Prineville, on a report of a woman stabbing a man who was attacking her, sheriff’s Sgt. Bill Elliott said.

An investigation found there was a domestic dispute at the home between Larissa Rollins, 48, her boyfriend, Michael Cross, 51, and their male roommate, Elliott said.

After Cross broke up a disagreement between Rollins and the roommate, Cross went into the kitchen and got into an argument with Rollins, who allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed Cross seven times.

The roommate took Cross to St. Charles Prineville for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Rollins remained at the home and cooperated with the investigation, Elliott said. She was arrested on a charge of second-degree domestic assault and taken to the Crook County Jail.

A jail officer said she was arraigned Tuesday and a judge set bail at $50,000 pending another court date on Nov. 24.
