Bend Post Office open special weekend hours for holidays

KTVZ

To make shipping holiday gifts and cards more convenient for area postal customers, the Bend Main Post Office will offer special retail hours for the next two weekends, according to U.S. Postal Service officials.

Bend’s Main Post Office at 2300 NE 4th St. will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on two Saturdays, Dec. 9 and 16. On Sunday, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17, retail services will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We’re offering these extra weekend hours to make holiday shipping easier for our customers,” said Bend Postmaster Nathan Leigh. “We especially encourage customers to take advantage of these special hours to get their gifts in the mail these next two weekends in order to avoid the extra traffic we expect to start seeing at the Post Office on Monday, Dec. 18.”

Holiday shipping tips and all-important suggested mailing dates for domestic and international addresses are available for customers at www.usps.com/holiday.

The U.S. Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
