Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM

KTVZ

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

Freezing fog and air quality continue to be a concern for Central Oregonians. Low lying elevations will see more fog than others. Fog could be dense in the late night and early morning hours. Overnight lows underneath the fog will be cold in the 20s. Those with clear skies will see frigid overnight lows in the single digits and lower teens.

Tuesday will see fog for lower elevations with sunshine for higher elevations. Temperatures for highs will warm into the mid 40s for those with sunshine. Daytime highs will have a tough time making it out of the lower 30s if fog is overhead.

Air quality will hover between good to moderate for most of Central Oregon as pollutants stay close to the earth’s surface. Winds will continue to be light and variable through the end of the week.

No new snow is expected again this week for the Cascades as our ridge of high pressure stays overhead. By the end of the week we will see a change which includes some warmer air, moisture, and varying winds.
