MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – Authorities have identified two people found dead inside a Medford home Tuesday.

Medford police Lt. Justin Ivens says officers responded to the home to check on 50-year-old Charmaine Crunk Tuesday after she didn’t arrive at work.

Ivens says officers had to force their way into the home to gain entry and then found the body of Crunk and the body of 51-year-old Eric Hilsenberg.

Ivens says both appeared to have died from gunshot wounds.

Detectives believe Hilsenberg killed Crunk and then himself.

Detectives believe Crunk and Hilsenberg both lived at the residence and that they had been involved in a 12-year relationship that had ended in March.

The official cause and manner of the deaths will be released after autopsies are completed.
