Local Alert Weather – Tues. AM
Happy Tuesday morning, everyone!
Rain showers overnight helped clear some of the patchy fog we were dealing with for most of the day yesterday. Know surfaces could be slippery this morning as temperatures are around the freezing mark. Snow showers fell across the Cascades and as of this morning Mt. Bachelor picked up around 1″ of fresh snow.
Through the afternoon a clearing trend will happen and temperatures will warm underneath the sunshine. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 40s. Winds will be out of the south around 10-15 miles per hour. Clouds roll in by the evening and we’ll be between mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies tonight. Lows will fall into the low to mid 30s.
Wednesday will be a fairly dry, but fairly cloudy day. The next system is not expected to arrive for the High Desert until late in the day on Wednesday. Snow levels will fall behind the next front to around 4,400′ by Thursday morning and 2,900′ Thursday evening.
Heavy mountain snow is on the way Wednesday night into Thursday. Rain showers are on the way for Central Oregon. Temperatures will be cooler Thursday and Friday behind the next system.
