Local Alert Weather 011918 PM
Hello Central Oregon!
A cold front has pushed through. Therefore, daytime highs were chilly in the lower 40’s. We’ll stay fairly cold for the rest of the evening with temperatures already around freezing by 7p.m. There’s a slight chance of showers passing through the evening and overnight. For the most part, the showers will stay along the Cascades.Overnight lows will be near the lower 30’s and mostly cloudy skies.
We’ll remain cloudy and breezy Saturday. Winds will be up to 10-15 miles per hour. Temperatures will be in the mid 40’s for daytime highs. For the most part, Central Oregon will remain dry. The storms will stay along the Cascades once again. Good news for Mt. Bachelor!
Sunday is the day where our weather changes. Snow levels will be low and we have a 70% chance of mixed showers. This chance will be greatest during the afternoon. Temperatures will be back around the mid 40’s for daytime highs and lower 30’s for overnight lows.
The showers will stop Monday, but return my Tuesday. Throughout the beginning of the work week our snow levels will fluctuate so at times we’ll see mixed showers, Wednesday rain showers, and Thursday snow showers. This all has to do with the snow levels. For the mountains, this will be great news because it will be snow showers every day. Throughout these days temperatures will stay in the low to mid 40’s. It won’t be until the weekend that we begin to see cooler temperatures.
