KTVZ

Happy Monday morning, everyone!

We’re beginning the day on a mild note with temperatures in the Bend and Redmond areas in the 40s. Higher elevations will start a little cooler in the 30s. Winds will already be breezy out of the south around 15-20 miles per hour with gusts around 30. Mostly cloudy skies will break into partly cloudy to mostly sunny by the afternoon.

Ahead of a cold front arriving winds will pick up this evening. Around 8 p.m. snow showers will arrive for the Cascades with a chance for rain showers developing for Central Oregon. We have a chance for rain showers overnight as the system passes, but it will be fairly short lived. Lows will be above average in the low to mid 30s. Mostly cloudy skies will be overhead as we’ll be mainly dry.

Tomorrow could see some slick spots to start as lows will be in the low to mid 30s. We’ll be dry to begin the day with the passing front. Daytime highs on Tuesday will be much cooler in the low to mid 40s, which is around average. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies are expected.

The second half of the week will see a gradual warming trend with highs getting into the low to mid 40s. We’ll see more clouds overhead with a slight chance for rain showers. High pressure building in will continue through the weekend.
