Local Alert Weather – Thurs. AM

KTVZ

Happy Thursday morning, everyone!

We wake up on this first day of February to a few sprinkles throughout the region. If you encounter one of these showers the surfaces will likely be slick. Temperatures this morning are starting in the low to mid 30s. Today will be cloudy with a few sunbreaks. Winds will generally be out of the south around 10 miles per hour. Daytime highs will top out in the upper 40s and lower 50s for some.

The slight chance for showers remains for the highest elevations over the next few days. Snow levels will hike up to above 6,600′ generally for the week ahead. Rain showers would be across the passes if we do get some moisture.

Daytime highs will climb as high pressure builds back into the area. Winds will be fairly calm and so will conditions. We are not expecting much in terms of shower activity for Central Oregon during the extended forecast. Highs will be peaking in the mid to upper 50s. Variable clouds are ahead for the weekend.
