KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in place from this afternoon through Wednesday at noon. Snow will begin to fall before midnight tonight and will continue into tomorrow morning. A total of 1-3″ of snow is expected for many locations and will be on the ground by early tomorrow. Overnight lows will be in the teens, which is below average.

Wednesday will start with a few snow flurries as the system wraps up, but know we’ll wake up to snow. Throughout the day we’ll see a clearing and will be left under partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will top out in the upper 20s and lower 30s for another cold day.

Another push for snow showers develops Thursday morning and will linger through the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 20s. Icy and slick spots will be on the roadways.

Friday sees partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies with highs climbing into the mid to upper 30s. Friday will be the calm day as we head into the weekend.

Right now, the weekend is a mixed bag. We’ll see some winds pick up Saturday ahead of the next system with the chance for snow showers. Overall this weekend will see mostly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Sunday could also see some mixed showers.
