Good Wednesday Morning, Everyone…

SISTERS SCHOOLS: CLOSED TODAY

SISTERS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY: CLOSED TODAY

Those are the only school closures or delays reported this morning.

Wednesday started out cold and snow packed this morning and for the most part, it will stay that way through the day. The chance of snow showers will taper off a bit through the morning hours, but the temps will stay chilly. Expect to see highs topping out in the mid to upper 20’s for most with only a few getting to or above freezing. Northerly breezes will stay fairly gentle at 5-10 mph.

Those gentle breezes turn NW tonight and our thermometers are expected to dip back into the teens. The next push of moisture will bring some more snow showers tonight. They could easily reappear as early as dinner time, around 6:00 PM. This does not look like a huge event as even the Cascades, from Mt Bachelor south, will only see a couple inches of new powder.

Some snow showers will linger into Thursday morning and highs will stay in the 20’s on Thursday, as well. This system will show signs of a modest break up Friday, but temps will only warm modestly. Skies will stay mostly cloudy through the weekend and into next week. It will be a bit of a relief to see highs reach the low to mid 40’s, but even at that we will still be below average. We will live with the chance of scattered, mixed showers into the middle of next week.

HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
