GOOD THURSDAY MORNING, EVERYONE…
SNOW SHOWERS THAT TAPER OFF THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS WILL AMOUNT TO NO MORE THAN A DUSTING IN SOME AREAS TO AN ACCUMULATION OF 1-3″ AT THE UPPER ELEVATIONS. HIGHS WILL ONLY REACH THE MID TO UPPER 20’S AND SNOW SHOWERS WILL TAPER OFF THIS AFTERNOON. NORTHERLY BREEZES WILL BE GENTLE AT 5-10 MPH.
BY TONIGHT WE WILL BE UNDER PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES. WE WILL ALSO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A FLOW OF VERY COLD AIR. TONIGHT’S LOWS WILL DROP INTO SINGLE DIGITS FOR JUST ABOUT EVERYONE AND WINDS WILL CALM OVERNIGHT.
FRIDAY OFFERS WARMER TEMPS AND A SHORT BREAK BETWEEN STORM SYSTEMS. BEGINNING FRIDAY NIGHT THE NEXT SYSTEM ROLLS INTO THE PACIFIC NW AND WILL BRING WITH IT SOME VERY HEAVY SNOW TO THE CASCADES. FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING THE PASSES AND RESORTS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO SEE 12-26″ OF FRESH SNOW. DRIVERS GOING OVER THE CASCADES THIS WEEKEND SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR INCLEMENT WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS.
THIS WILL MEAN MIXED SHOWERS FOR THE HIGH DESERT. HIGHS WILL BE IN THE LOW TO MID 40’S AND OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL DIP INTO THE 20’S. THIS WILL BREAK FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY WITH THE NEXT SYSTEM EXPECTED WEDNESDAY.
HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
