Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM
Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!
We’re seeing widespread rain showers across Central Oregon. Highs topped out in the mid to upper 50s today before the cold air arrived. Snow levels are in the process of falling behind a passing cold front. Overnight lows will fall into the upper 20s and low to mid 30s. We can expect the chance for rain showers continuing through the evening, and would see partly cloudy skies apart from that chance.
Wednesday will begin with partly cloudy skies. Snow levels will hover around 3,400′ to begin the day. Highs will top out around where we ended the day today — in the low to mid 40s, which is a few degrees shy of average. We see the chance for mixed showers developing by lunchtime. Snow showers are expected for most of the region by the end of the day, so the evening commute could be rather slick. Winds will be gusty at times out of the northwest around 15 miles per hour.
Lows will be falling into the mid to upper 20s as we go through the next several days, which is around average.
Thursday should be fairly dry until we get to the evening going into Friday. We could see some snow showers overnight, so the morning commute could be slushy or icy on Friday morning. Highs this week stay below average in the mid to upper 40s.
