Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM

KTVZ

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

Tonight we have the slight chance for a few showers in higher elevations and areas south of Bend. Showers would be more or less in the form of wet snow as temperatures will be in the upper 30s and snow levels are hovering around 3,500′. Overall we will be mainly dry with mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the mid to upper 20s and lower 30s.

Tomorrow is the first day of spring with begins at 9:15 a.m. We’ll see some sun breaks, some clouds, and a few light showers left for the highest elevations in the afternoon. Central Oregon will see a partly cloudy day. Highs will be spot on for average in the low to mid 50s.

As we head into Wednesday we’ll see moisture move in from the southwest, which will be a fairly mild system with snow levels around 6,000′. We can expect more rain than anything else and mild temperatures in the mid to upper 50s.

By Thursday snow levels will fall as a cold front moves down from the northwest. Snow levels will plummet to 1,500′ by the end of the day on Thursday, so we could see some snow showers. Highs for Thursday will still be average in the mid 50s.

Friday is when the chilly temperatures arrive with daytime highs not making it out of the low to mid 40s. This weekend is looking cool as well, but dry with mostly cloudy skies.

Happy last full day of winter!
