Skinner hired as Eugene’s new police chief
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – The city of Eugene has hired a new police chief.
The Register-Guard reports that Chris Skinner was chosen Monday and is expected to start April 30.
He’s been the chief of police in Richland, Washington, since 2011.
Pete Kerns retired as Eugene’s police chief in April 2017, but continued for many months on an interim basis.
Skinner will receive an annual salary of $153,171.
