KPOV community radio seeks board members

KPOV High Desert Community Radio, 88.9 FM, is looking for community members who want to serve on the non-profit radio station’s volunteer board of directors.

KPOV listeners and community members who support progressive non-profit media are encouraged to apply for the KPOV board. The station is committed to developing a more diverse board that better represents people of color, the LGBTQ community, women, youth, and Central Oregon communities outside of Bend.

KPOV’s mission is to strengthen community, arts, culture, and democracy through independent, non-commercial radio throughout Central Oregon.

KPOV is a listener-supported, volunteer-powered, nonprofit community radio station that broadcasts at 88.9 FM and live on the web at kpov.org. KPOV’s signal reaches listeners in Bend, Redmond, Prineville, Sisters, Terrebonne, Tumalo and Christmas Valley. High Desert Community Radio offers locally-produced programs not heard on any other radio stations in the area, including civic affairs, election coverage, and the most diverse music programming in Central Oregon. KPOV also features several nationally syndicated programs that no other stations broadcast in our area.
