Here’s the weekly city of Bend road and traffic report for April 2-7:
Special Event:
· Salmon Run, April 8 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., start and finish at The Athletic Club of Bend. Be aware of flaggers at the following intersections:
o Roundabout at Century Drive and Mt. Washington Drive
o Roundabout at Reed Market Road and Mt. Bachelor Drive
o Intersection of Galveston Avenue and Columbia Street
o Intersection of Galveston Avenue and Riverfront Street
For the week of:
April 2 – 7
· Roundabout closure with detours at intersection of Reed Market Road and 15 th Street for Art in Public Places sculpture work, 4/2/18, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
· Staats Street between Kansas Avenue and Colorado Avenue for Cascade Natural Gas project, road closures with detours, 4/2/18 – 4/6/18, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
· Brosterhous Road between Marble Mountain Lane and Orchard Grass Place, bike lane closed for road construction and curb installation, 4/2/18 – 4/30/18.
14 th Street Reconstruction Project:
The City’s work on the 14 th Street Reconstruction Project begins April 2. The first stage of construction includes reconstruction of the Simpson Roundabout to a concrete surface, and construction of the east side of Century Drive, Simpson Avenue to Albany Avenue. The Simpson Avenue roundabout is expected to be fully closed on April 9, and will reopen in mid-May. Google Waze will be updated with current construction activity for this project. 2018 City of Bend Street Preservation Projects ( www.bendoregon.gov/streetpreservation for more info about 2018 Street Preservation and Maintenance) :
· Mt. Washington Drive between Simpson Avenue and Skyliners Road for valve box replacement, southbound lane closure with local access only, northbound lane to remain open, 4/2/18, night work from 6:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.
· Mt. Washington Drive between Skyliners Road and Northwest Crossing Drive for valve box replacement, northbound lane closure with local access only, southbound lane to remain open, 4/3/18, night work from 6:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.
· Mt. Washington Drive between Northwest Crossing Drive and Shevlin Park Road for valve box replacement, northbound lane closure with local access only, southbound lane to remain open, 4/4/18 – 4/5/18, night work from 6:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.
· Mt. Washington Drive between Simpson Avenue and Chandler Avenue for valve box replacement, single lane closures with flagging, 4/9/18, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Ongoing Closures:
· Intersection of Century Drive and Skyline Ranch Road for new road construction on Bachelor View Road, modified turn lanes in place, 3/22/18 – 4/2/18.
· McClain Drive between Shevlin Park Road and Mt. Thielsen Drive for infrastructure installation and road work, road closure with detour in place, 3/26/18 – 6/15/18.
· 14 th Street between Galveston Avenue and Newport Avenue for Cascade Natural Gas main relocation, southbound lane closed with detours in place, 3/26/18 – 6/8/18.
Upcoming Closures:
· Roundabout at intersection of Reed Market Road and 15 th Street for Art in Public Places sculpture installation, roundabout closure with detours, 4/27/18, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
