Local Alert Weather – Fri. PM
Happy Friday evening, everyone!
High pressure has been allowing warmer air to move up from the south over the past few days, but we’re looking at changes going into the weekend. Tonight will see partly sunny skies through sunset with mostly cloudy skies after that time. Lows will be mild underneath the cloud cover in the low to mid 30s. Some areas will bottom out in the upper 30s as well. Winds will be light and variable.
Saturday begins with more clouds than we will end the day. Highs will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s, which is a little above average. The weekend begins our cooler trend for the next few days. Winds will be breezy at times out of the northwest in the afternoon around 15 to 20 miles per hour. We’ll end the day with mostly sunny skies.
Overnight into Easter Sunday we’ll see clouds trickle in the area. Throughout the day more clouds will increase. Highs will be cooler in the mid to upper 50s, but that is around average. Winds will be breezier on Sunday gusting 25 miles per hour as a front passes through. Easter egg hunts are looking dry!
Monday will see the coolest temperatures of the week with highs starting in the upper 40s and lower 50s. We’ll see a slight chance for showers before sunrise, but we’re looking mainly dry. Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies will be overhead.
As we go through the week the next system will be more mild and pushes in by Wednesday. The end of the week sees a chance for rain showers as snow levels are high and temperatures will be in the mid 60s.
Have a happy & safe Easter weekend!
