Local Alert Weather – Thurs. AM

KTVZ

Happy Thursday morning, everyone!

We’re starting our day with some areas of ground fog producing a few light showers. These locations could see slick roads especially in higher elevations.Temperatures are chilly, but a little warmer than we were yesterday morning. Wet roads are left behind the showers we saw overnight, so it will feel chilly. Winds will be breezy at times around 10 miles per hour.

As we go through the morning and into the afternoon we’ll see skies start to clear. Sunshine is ahead for the late afternoon and sunset, which is now a few minutes before 8 o’clock. Highs will top out in the upper 50s and lower 60s, which is spot on for average. Winds will pick up this afternoon gusting 25 miles per hour out of the north and northwest.

Overnight we’ll be under mostly clear skies. Lows will also be around average in the upper 20s and lower 30s. We’ll be dry overnight tonight.

Tomorrow begins with sunshine, but will see increasing clouds by the afternoon as the next system pushes in from the northwest. Friday will be the warmest day this week with highs in the upper 60s. Can’t ask for a better end to the week!

The next system just brings a few more clouds to Central Oregon for the weekend ahead with “cooler” air. Temperatures will be around average in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

This weekend will feel a lot more like Spring! If you have allergies, you’ll likely notice the tree pollen this weekend. Be prepared!

Enjoy the sunshine!
