Woman struck, killed by train in Eugene
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Authorities say a woman has been struck and killed by a train in Eugene.
According to Eugene police, the woman died Tuesday morning along tracks in the Whiteaker neighborhood. The Register-Guard reports a homeless man speaking with police near the crossing said his girlfriend was the victim.
The freight train blocked traffic during the investigation.
