Happy Friday evening, everyone!

The FLASH FLOOD WATCH has expired for most cities in Central Oregon. Parts of Deschutes, Jefferson, and Crook counties are still under the watch through this evening. Thunderstorms and VERY heavy rainfall is moving through Easter Oregon this afternoon and this evening. Localized flooding is likely and small streams could rise.

Central Oregon will see the showers taper off this evening going into tomorrow morning. We could see a few scattered showers through midnight tonight before we enter a calmer pattern by the morning. Winds will be gusty at times out of the northwest around 25 miles per hour. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 30s and lower 40s, which is around average.

Saturday begins with partly cloudy skies with mostly cloudy skies across the Cascades. Temperatures will start on a chilly note, and we’ll stay chilly throughout the day. Clouds will gradually clear throughout the day, so we’ll end our Saturday with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s for daytime highs, which is a little below average. Winds will pick up in the afternoon around 20 miles per hour.

Sunday brings us plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures. We’ll warm into the mid to upper 70s. Memorial Day should be beautiful and warm. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s and lower 80s. Pack the sunscreen if you’re headed out to any of the events on Monday across the High Desert.
