CLATSKANIE, Ore. (AP) – Authorities say three women and a boy were killed and several others injured when the minivan they were riding in collided with a pickup truck on a highway in northwest Oregon.

Oregon State Police on Sunday said 44-year-old Yun Hee Lee and an unidentified juvenile male, both from Gig Harbor, Washington, were among those killed in Friday’s crash in Clatsop County. Also killed were two women from South Korea, 71-year-old Soon Ja Lim and 39-year-old Jung Hee Lee.

The four were among eight people in a minivan traveling westbound on Highway 30 Friday night. State police say the minivan tried to turn left into the oncoming path of a pickup truck towing an empty horse trailer.

Several people in the minivan and pickup truck were taken to local hospitals.
