Redmond road closures and delays: Week of June 11
Here is the city of Redmond’s list of road closures and delays for the week of June 11-15:
City Street Chip Seal Preservation Operations:
Monday, June 11 – Starting at 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Chip sealing operations will take place on:
NW 19th from NW Maple to NW Quince Ave.
W. Antler Ave from SW 27th St. to SW 35th St.
SW 27th St. from Highland Ave (HWY 126) to W. Antler Ave.
Tuesday, June 12 – Starting at 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Chip sealing operations will take place on:
SW Black Butte/ W Antler Ave from S Canyon Dr to SW 19th St.
SW Rimrock Way from W. Antler Ave to Highland Ave (HWY 126).
SW 23rd St. from SW Rimrock Ave to SW Salmon Ave.
Wednesday, June 13 – Starting at 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Chip sealing operations will take place on:
SW Wickiup Ave/Reservoir Dr. from SW 27th St to SW 39th St.
SW 27th St. from SW Obsidian Ave to SW Wickiup Ave.
Thursday, June 14 – Starting at 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Chip sealing operations will take place on:
SW 17th St. from SW Lava Ave to SW quartz Ave.
Crews will be installing summer banners along City owned decorative street lights.
During chip sealing, closure durations and disruptions are determined by progress of the operations and weather conditions.

Historic Redmond Hotel Renovation Project –
FULL CLOSURE Wednesday, June 13 – from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. SunWest is planning to close both lanes of 6th Street to load in elevator equipment to the roof of the building. SunWest will be performing door to door notifications for that closure.
Monday, May 7 thru August 31 – from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Righthand lane of SW 6th St. to be partially closed from midblock between SW Deschutes Ave. and SW Forest Ave. to midblock between SW Evergreen Ave. and SW Forest Ave. The 6th St. sidewalk from SW Evergreen Ave. south to midblock will also be closed during the lane closure.
The hotel renovation will continue over the next few months with the goal of opening a new rooftop bar later this summer. The renovation of the hotel rooms is expected to be completed next spring.
All businesses will remain open during this closure. *Activities resulting in noise will not begin until 7:00 a.m.*
South Canal Improvement Project – South Canal Blvd is closed between Wickiup Ave and the Yew Avenue roundabout for the next few weeks. Local access is permitted. The intersection of South Canal Blvd and Wickiup Ave will remain closed to traffic.
Scheduled Activities for the week of 6/11/2018 – 6/15/2018:
— 6/11/2018 – Setup curb string line on Monday, June 11th on both sides of road from SW Wickiup Ave to roundabout. Access to residential driveways will be limited during this operation but we will ensure access when needed.
— 6/12/2018 – Install curb on west side of road from roundabout to SW 25th St. We are requesting vehicles that will require use during the day, in this section, be parked on the east side of the road starting at 7:00am on 6/12/2018. Due to concrete strength requirements vehicle access to residential driveways will not be allowed for three days.
— 6/13/2018 – Install curb on west side of road from SW 25th St to SW Wickiup Ave and install curb on the east side of the road from SW Wickiup Ave to street number 3150 SW Canal Blvd. We are requesting vehicles that will require use during the day, in this section, be parked on the opposite side road starting at 7:00am on 6/13/2018. Due to concrete strength requirements vehicle access to residential driveways will not be allowed for three days.
— 6/14/2018 – Install curb on east side of road from street number 3150 SW Canal Blvd to roundabout. We are requesting vehicles in this section park on the west side of the road starting at 7:00am on 6/14/2018. Due to concrete strength requirements vehicle access to residential driveways will not be allowed for three days.
— Excavation/construction of subgrade of road footprint from SW Wickiup Ave to SW Timber Ave.
— 8-inch storm system (8-inch storm pipe, drywells, & sedimentation manholes) from SW Wickiup Ave to SW Timber Ave.
Ongoing Activities
— The intersection of South Canal Blvd and Wickiup Ave. will remain closed to traffic
— Expect to see crews working between SW Timber Ave. and the roundabout on South Canal Blvd through July 2018
Rebuilding the street will take 13 months, with project completion set for April 2019. Sections of South Canal Blvd. will be closed temporarily during construction, but local access to area homes and businesses will remain open.
