Redmond School District sets summer meals schedule

Redmond School District has announced its free Summer Meals Program schedule for the summer of 2018.

The program allows children who are 18 years of age and under to receive a nutritious breakfast and lunch at no charge. No registration is required to participate.

The Redmond School District participates in the U.S. Department of Agriculture Summer Food Service Program to provide meals at the following seven locations in the community throughout the summer months:

Deschutes Public Library 827 SW Deschutes Ave. Serving Lunch Only Dates: June 18 – August 23 | M-TH Lunch Times: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

M.A. Lynch Elementary School 1314 SW Kalama Ave. Serving Lunch Only Dates: June 18 – August 24 | M-F Lunch Times: 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Highland Baptist Church Vacation Bible School 3100 SW Highland Ave. Serving Lunch Only Dates: June 25 – June 29 | M-F Lunch Times: 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m.

Redmond High School Camp 9 675 SW Rimrock Breakfast & Lunch Served Dates: Aug. 7 – 18 | M-TH Lunch Times: 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Sam Johnson Park 333 Southwest 15th Street Serving Lunch Only Dates: June 18 – Aug. 23 | M-TH Lunch Times: 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Tom McCall Elementary 2105 SW Antler Ave Dates: June 18 – Aug 24 | M-F Lunch Times: 11:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.

Sage Elementary – Migrant Program 2790 SW Wickiup Dates: June 26 – July 20 | T-F Lunch Times: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The district’s bicycle mobile food cart will make regular stops along the route below beginning at 11:00 a.m. from July 2 to August 24.

1 – Canyon Crest Apartments 532 SW Rimrock Dr.

2 – The Bluffs Apartments 340 SW Rimrock Way

3 – Chaparall Apartments 244 SW Rimrock Way

4 – Rim Rock Villa Apartments 1822 W. Antler Ave

5 – Cascade Swim Center 465 SW Rimrock Dr.

Meal service will not be offered on July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
