Family Access Network receives Autzen Foundation grant

KTVZ

The Family Access Network (FAN) recently received a $3,000 grant from The Autzen Foundation. The funds will be used to provide 30 Central Oregon children and family members in need with life-changing services such as food, clothing, stable housing, healthcare, positive youth development, and much more.

“FAN is so grateful for The Autzen Foundation’s support. Together, we are making a lasting and impactful difference in the lives of our region’s most vulnerable kids and family members,” said Valerie Yost, FAN Foundation Board Chair.

Based out of Portland, The Autzen Foundation began in 1951 with a mission to support charitable work that makes Oregon a better place. Funding areas that The Autzen Foundation focuses on include social services, arts and culture, education, the environment and youth-centered organizations.

Unique to Central Oregon, FAN began in 1993 and currently employs 25 advocates in 52 public schools (K-12) and early childhood sites in Deschutes and Crook Counties. The direct placement of FAN advocates within the public schools allows FAN to effectively reach and connect disadvantaged children and families to essential basic needs.
