Happy Friday evening, everyone!
A FIRE WEATHER OR RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR CENTRAL OREGON THROUGH 9 P.M. THIS EVENING. WINDS WILL GUST AROUND 30 MILES PER HOUR AND WE HAVE DRY CONDITIONS.
Tonight we’ll see mostly clear skies once we get past midnight. Winds will be gusty through that time around 30 miles per hour. Temperatures will be int he mid to upper 60s around sunset.
Overnight lows underneath mostly clear skies will be in the low to mid 40s. Winds this evening will be out of the southwest around 10 miles per hour.
Saturday brings sunshine and mild temperatures to the High Desert. Daytime highs will be right around average in the low to mid 80s. Winds will be out of the northwest around 15 to 20 miles per hour.
Overnight lows will hover in the upper 40s and lower 50s for the next several nights, so not much to worry about in terms of crops or your plants.
Sunday will see a warm up. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s, which is above average for this time of year.
The beginning of the week will see gusty winds, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Fire Weather or Red Flag Warning in place for those strong winds and dry conditions. Daytime highs for Monday will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
A slight cool down for Tuesday bounces right back. Daytime highs by the second half of the week will be downright hot for some in the mid to upper 90s.
Prepare now with extra water and load up on the sunscreen!
Have a happy & safe weekend!
