Safe Routes to School workshop Thursday in Redmond

Three more workshops are available this summer to help school districts, safety advocates, parents, teachers and others interested learn about the new state program that will fund Safe Routes to School projects such as improving intersections, adding sidewalks and more.

A recorded webinar from last month is also available on the website (linked under “Infrastructure Program” and “How to Apply”). Here are details on the remaining workshops:

Redmond
July 12, 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Redmond Public Works Training Room, 243 E. Antler Ave.
Hosted in Conjunction with the Central Oregon Area Commission on Transportation meeting.

Springfield
Aug. 8, 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Agnes Stewart Middle School, 900 S. 32nd St.
Hosted in conjunction with the Lane Area Commission on Transportation meeting.

Ashland
Aug. 16, 10:30 a.m. – Noon
Ashland Branch Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.
Hosted in conjunction with the Transportation Option Group of Oregon meeting. See the Transportation Option Group of Oregon website for more information.
