Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM

KTVZ

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

Tonight we’ll see mostly clear skies after the scattered thunderstorms wind down. Most of the thunderstorm activity will be to our southeast tonight, but Central Oregon still has a chance for a few storms. Clouds will clear overnight and we will see mostly clear skies. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 50s, which is about 10 degrees above average.

We’re off to a mild start tomorrow morning with temperatures in the 50s. Our day will be a hot one once we get to the afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 90s and lower triple digits. Winds will be out of the northwest around 25 miles per hour. A FIRE WEATHER OR RED FLAG WARNING goes into effect at 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon for low relative humidity levels and gusty winds simply meaning if a fire should start it would spread rapidly.

By Wednesday we’ll still be under the FIRE WEATHER OR RED FLAG WARNING through 8 p.m. Temperatures will be slightly cooler in the upper 80s and lower 90s, which is still about 5 degrees above average.

Sunshine and daytime highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s are expected for the next several days. Overnight lows will hover in the mid to upper 40s and lower 50s. Keep your SPF handy and keep yourself hydrated!

Stay cool!
