Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM

KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

A RED FLAG OR FIRE WEATHER WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE CENTRAL OREGON REGION THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING. RELATIVE HUMIDITY LEVELS ARE LOW AND WIND GUSTS ARE STRONG. ANY FIRES THAT SHOULD START WOULD SPREAD RAPIDLY.

Tonight we’ll see wind gusts topping 30 miles per hour through sunset. Clear skies are expected through the overnight. Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 40s and low to mid 50s by early tomorrow morning.

Sunshine is ahead for Wednesday. Relative humidity levels will remain low for the next several days as we don’t have a chance for moisture or rain showers any time soon.

A weak flow will bring slightly cooler temperatures to the region for the middle of the week. Wednesday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 80s in the higher elevations. Temperatures for the rest of the High Desert will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s, which is still a little above average.

Overnight lows will hover in the 40s and lower 50s for the extended forecast.

Remember to re-apply your sunscreen often when spending time outdoors and stay hydrated!
