Local Alert Weather – Thurs. PM

KTVZ

Happy Thursday evening, everyone!

A FIRE WEATHER OR RED FLAG WARNING FOR MOST OF CENTRAL OREGON EXPIRES TONIGHT AT 9 P.M. GUSTY WINDS AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH SUNSET.

Winds will gust around 25 miles per hour through sunset. After that time winds will be out of the southwest around 10 miles per hour. Mostly clear skies will be overhead tonight as we cool into the low to mid 40s, which is actually a few degrees shy of average.

Tomorrow we’ll wake up to sunny skies and chilly temperatures. We’ll be starting in the low to mid 40s, which is slightly shy of average. We’ll quickly warm into the low to mid 80s for highs, which is around average. Winds won’t be nearly as strong for Friday as they were for Thursday.

Heading into the weekend we’ll still see sunshine. Clear skies are expected for the next several days, but we’ll also notice some hazy conditions and smoke from the wildfires burning across Oregon.

Temperatures gradually warm as we go into the end of the weekend and beginning of next week. Highs will climb back into the mid to upper 90s by Tuesday.
