Local Alert Weather – Thurs. PM

KTVZ

Happy Thursday evening, everyone!

We’re seeing very dry conditions throughout the region. As we’re heading into the last weekend in July we’ll see downright hot temperatures, too. Stay safe and remember if a fire should start it could spread rapidly.

Through sunset tonight winds will top about 25 miles per hour out of the northwest. Temperatures will be in the lower 80s around sunset. Sunny skies will be with us through the evening.

Overnight we’ll see clear skies with some high clouds. Lows will fall into the mid to upper 40s and lower 50s. Winds will be light out of the west, southwest tonight.

Tomorrow sees nothin’ but sunshine and hot temperatures. We’ll be a few degrees cooler than we were for today, but still warm to hot. Daytime highs will be in the upper 80s and low to mid 90s. Upper 90s and triple digits are likely towards the north and closer to the Columbia River Gorge.

Heading into the weekend conditions stay dry and temperatures stay well above average. Add a few extra glasses of water into your routine to stay hydrated. Keep an eye on children and the elderly. Don’t forget to water your plants!

We gradually cool into the upper 80s and lower 90s by the middle of next week. Our average daytime high is 88 degrees.
