Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM
Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!
A HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR CENTRAL OREGON THROUGH 11 P.M. TONIGHT FOR UNSEASONABLY WARM TEMPERATURES.
A FIRE WEATHER OR RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE EAST SLOPES OF THE CASCADES THROUGH WEDNESDAY AT 10 P.M. FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY LEVELS. ANY FIRES THAT SHOULD START WOULD SPREAD RAPIDLY.
Tonight we’re looking at breezy conditions out of the northwest gusting 25 miles per hour. Overnight lows will be in the 40s and 50s. Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies are expected overhead.
Tomorrow is another warm to hot, sunny, and hazy day. We’ll see highs in the upper 80s and low to mid 90s. Winds will pick up in the afternoon and evening gusting 25 miles per hour. The FIRE WEATHER WARNING expires for the east slopes of the Cascades at 10 p.m.
By Thursday cooler air will be over the region with temperatures falling below average! We haven’t seen temperatures below 86 degrees in Redmond since July 10! Temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s. Winds will still be a little breezy, but not too strong.
The first week of August will see highs in the upper 70s and low to mid 80s. Sunshine is expected for the extended forecast.
