Shepherd’s House seeks sack lunch items

KTVZ

Bend’s Shepherd’s House Ministries homeless shelter is in need of sack lunch items as it begins a renovation project, the organization said Wednesday.

Here’s their announcement, in full:

As part of Shepherd’s House Ministries A Place to Call Home Campaign, we will be refurbishing our Division Street location. Construction is set to start Monday, August 20 on a new roof and HVAC system.

We will continue serving lunch and dinner to the homeless community but are in need of several donations, as our normal kitchen operations will be limited during construction. Needs include sack lunch items like lunch meat, chips, nutrition bars, fruit, and LOTS of bottled water.

We will also be accepting monetary donations to help in this effort. Our dinner service will continue with help from local community organizations and churches.

Phase I of our A Place to Call Home Campaign will last for several weeks and will provide much-needed upgrades and repairs as we head into the winter season.
