AN AIR QUALITY WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR CENTRAL OREGON THROUGH AT LEAST TOMORROW AFTERNOON. “UNHEALTHY” AIR QUALITY LEVELS ARE CURRENTLY BEING REPORTED IN BEND, SISTERS, AND PRINEVILLE. AVOID OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES DURING THIS TIME.
A FIRE WEATHER OR RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT THROUGH 9 P.M. FOR GUSTY WINDS AND CRITICAL RELATIVE HUMIDITY LEVELS. ANY FIRES THAT SHOULD START WOULD SPREAD RAPIDLY.
Tonight we’ll see gusty winds topping 25 miles per hour. Winds will be breezy around 20 miles per hour overnight. We’ll still see gray, smoky skies overnight with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies overhead. Lows will be in the low to mid 50s, which is a little above average.
Tomorrow begins with smoky skies and mild temperatures. We’ll see mostly clear skies by the morning apart from the smoke. Winds will top around 20 miles per hour tomorrow. Daytime highs will be right around average in the low to mid 80s.
The second half of the day Tuesday will see some improvements to air quality levels, but won’t see completely clear skies. Hazy conditions will stick around through much of the week.
Wednesday looks to be the warmest day of the week with highs in the mid to upper 80s and lower 90s. Smoke will still be hanging around. The end of the week is likely when we’ll notice the clearing the most as cooler air moves inland.
