Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM

KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

AN AIR QUALITY ALERT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH AT LEAST THURSDAY FOR POOR AIR QUALITY LEVELS ACROSS THE HIGH DESERT.

Overnight we’ll see mostly clear skies with poor air quality levels at times. Winds will be breezy at times. Temperatures will be chilly overnight tonight and tomorrow morning. We’ll begin in the low to mid 40s.

Tomorrow is our warmest day of the week with daytime highs reaching the mid to upper 80s, which is above average. Winds will be breezy at times. Mostly sunny skies are expected overhead with hazy conditions. Smoke will still linger over the area.

Thursday brings changes as a cold front moves through. We’ll see breezes pick up gusting 25 to 30 miles per hour as the front pushes east. Temperatures will still be in the low to mid 80s Thursday. The front should help push most of the smoke to the southeast. We’ll be looking at clearer skies to end the week.

By Friday we’ll fall into the mid to upper 70s, which is below average (and might feel chilly 😉 ). Mostly sunny skies are ahead for Friday.

This weekend will see variable clouds ranging from mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Smoke should stay to the south, but we’ll see some hazy skies on Saturday. Air quality levels shouldn’t suffer too much.
