Missing Crooked River Ranch man located
(Update: Missing CRR man found in Terrebonne)
A Crooked River Ranch man reported missing late last week has been found in Terrebonne, thanks to a telephoned citizen tip, Jefferson County Undersheriff Marc Heckathorn said Sunday.
Robert Hanna’s wife was notified, Heckathorn said, adding, “We are grateful for all who helped us in locating him.”
The 73-year-old man had left home in his white Ford van on Monday and had not returned home. There was a possible sighting in Redmond on Thursday, deputies said earlier.
Undersheriff Marc Heckathorn said Robert M. Hanna’s wife reported her husband overdue on Wednesday, two days after he left home.
“She stated he has left before, but this length of time was now concerning her,” the sheriff’s office stated in its missing-person flyer.
Hanna’s wife believes she spotted the van on Thursday on Highway 97 near Veterans Way but was unable to contact him due to heavy traffic.
Hanna, a diabetic, did not take any medication with him, nor a cellphone, when he left the couple’s home at Crooked River Ranch, Heckathorn said.
Hanna’s name had been entered into the Law Enforcement Database System as a missing person, and the sheriff’s office asked the community to help locate him.
